Zoom Army Dog Died: ‘Zoom’, the army dog injured in an encounter with terrorists in Kashmir’s Anantnag, died on Thursday, officials said.

Zoom, under treatment at 54 AFVH (Advance Field Veterinary Hospital), passed away today around noon. He had been responding well up until 11:45 am when he suddenly started gasping and collapsed,” the army said.
After receiving two gunshot wounds during a combat operation in Kokernag of Anantnag, ‘Zoom’ attacked terrorists and sustained injuries.
According to the army, the canine continued his work despite his injuries and neutralized two terrorists. The canine is currently receiving treatment in Srinagar.
Operation Tangpawas’ combat team included the assault dog.
Aside from ‘Zoom’, two soldiers were also injured in the encounter with Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in Anantnag.
