  • Keep your feet shoulder-width apart and your back straight
  • Throw your arms up in the air
  • Spread your fingers wide and raise your arms as high as you can
  • You should aim your gaze above
  • You should be able to hold this stretch for 10 seconds and repeat it three to five times

Modified Urdhva Hastasana

This modified version of Urdhva Hastasana is another great way to get more energy. This powerful pose, called “upward salute with an arch,” looks a lot like the original pose. Here’s how to do this yoga pose (asana):

  • Keep your feet hip-width apart and your torso upright
  • Raise your arms in an upward motion
  • At this juncture, construct a hand ‘gun’ by clasping your palms together
  • However, for this asana, you should fold your fingers except for your index finger into a pistol shape
  • Let’s see you try to look up while aiming that rifle behind your back
  • For best results, stretch for 10 seconds at a time, and do so 3–5 times

Padahastasana

Standing forward bend is another name for Padahastasana. You can easily work and study at the same time. The goal is to get more blood flowing and stretch the muscles. Both of these things help give you more energy. Here’s how to do the Padahastasana pose:

  • Keep your head up
  • Now, bend forward slowly
  • Place your palms flat on the floor (as if you were folding in half). If you can’t quite reach that far, try touching your toes instead. As we’ve already established, this stance is flexible
  • Therefore, reaching your hands as close to the ground as possible is sufficient and beneficial
  • Now, turn your head such that the top of your head is touching the floor
  • Do this several times at regular intervals
