World’s Most Expensive Pillow: A Dutch cervical specialist turned designer founded and designed the world’s most expensive pillow.

Thijs van der Hilst from the Netherlands is behind the creation of the pillow, which according to Architectural Digest sells for $57,000 (approximately ₹45 lakh).
According to the website, it took Mr. Hilst fifteen years to create this special pillow. It is studded with 24 carat gold, diamonds and sapphires. In addition, the cotton used to stuff the pillows comes from a robot milling machine.

The pillow has a 24-karat gold cover – a shiny fabric sheath that purportedly blocks all electromagnetic radiation for safe and sound sleep. Adding to the price tag is a zipper that holds a 22.5-carat sapphire and four diamonds.
