Any player in the world would be proud to win the “Who got Man of the Match” award at an ICC event. But each player on the team needs to do better if they want to do well in a tournament put on by the International Cricket Council.
Man of the Match awards are meant to help the players improve
So the Man of the Match awards are meant to help the players improve their play, which will help their team do well and maybe even win that ICC-recognized event. So, we will name the four players who have won the most Who got Man of the Match Awards in ICC tournaments today.
Chris Gayle:
The Universal Boss is the cricket field’s most entertaining player. He has won more man of the match awards than anyone else in ICC tournaments. Gayle is always picked to play for the West Indies in big ICC tournaments, and he can’t be stopped.
The talented six-hitter has won eleven Who got Man of the Match Awards in ICC events, which is more than anyone else has ever won in the history of the game. He is the oldest player who still wants to play in the World T20 in the UAE. So if he plays in that event, the number of man of the match awards he has can go up.
Sachin Tendulkar:
Sachin Tendulkar is the best player of many generations, and he holds most of the International cricket records. He has played in six World Cups in the ODI format, which is also the most of any player.
The Master Blaster is on this list, but he hasn’t played in any World T20 tournaments. Sachin also played in the ICC Champions Trophy for India, and he has won ten “Man of the Match” awards in ICC events from 1989 to 2012.
Shane Watson:
He is the best all-around player Australia has ever made. Watto was a great batter with an amazing ability to hit the ball. As an opener, he had left a big mark on the Aussies’ limited-over games. Watson’s last ICC game was in 2015, when they won the world cup. In ICC events, he has won ten Who got Man of the Match Awards.
Mahela Jayawardene:
Jayawardene, who used to lead Sri Lanka, was a great captain and batsman for his team. He was like a rock for Sri Lanka’s middle class. Sri Lanka is having trouble right now because they don’t have anyone on their team with Jayawardene’s class and skill.
He also got a hundred in the finals of the 2011 World Cup, which were held in Mumbai. Mahela has also won ten ICC man of the match awards, and in 2014, he won the ICC World T20 tournament.
