WhatsApp Update WABetaInfo: Group discussion is one of the most recent features for WhatsApp’s toolkit that has seen a major development.
Mashable reported that the messaging app introduced Communities, a new way to connect with people who share your interests, and increased the maximum number of participants in group talks from 100 to 512.

Admins and users reportedly want to keep track of people who have recently left chats in such large groups. Since WhatsApp is beta-testing a function, you are not forced to rely on the hunch or ask around.
WABetaInfo said that WhatsApp’s iPhone beta version 22.16.0.75 allows group managers and members to see who has left or removed a group in the last 60 days. Under the list of current participants on the “Group Info” page, a new option called “View past participants” is now available.

There’s also a separate search box for a list of restricted users, which can be helpful for long chats where people often leave and rejoin. This feature can also be helpful for small businesses that use WhatsApp Groups for internal communication or client participation.
Additionally, the current system of notifying chats when a participant leaves or boots up is being abandoned. Such incidents will be reported to admins only via in-chat; this can be done to speed up moderation.
Thus the names of group members who are gone will only be included in the list of “past participants”.
The software is cross-platform, and should be released for Android and desktop soon. According to the report of Mashable, this feature has started for iOS users who are part of WhatsApp Testflight.
WhatsApp is also testing an Android capability that would enable group administrators to assist with content filtering by deleting messages.
