Shah Rukh Khan was on Friday honored with the Global Icon of Cinema and Cultural Narrative Award as he participated in the 41st edition of Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2022 at the Expo Center in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The official page of the Sharjah Book Authority on Twitter posted a video saying that the Bollywood star “inspired the audience” with his speech. “He talked about the fact that the world, and events like SIBF, are the cornerstone on which bridges connecting the world’s cultures will be built,” the post’s caption read.

In the video, Shah Rukh Khan said, “All of us, no matter where we live, what color we are, what religion we follow or what songs we dance to… a culture of love, peace and compassion thrive in.”
The 57-year-old actor sported a completely black ensemble and his trademark backcombed hairstyle. According to Khaleej Times, he ended the evening by enthralling his audience with some of his most famous dialogues from films like ‘Baazigar’, ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Don’ and ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, as the crowd cheered him on made happy

The video, shared just a few hours ago, has garnered over 7,000 likes and nearly 50,000 views so far. In the comment section, where one user wrote, “He deserves all the awards, the other said, ‘Just King Being King’.
One user wrote, “I saw the interview and he was very sweet. But he is right. We love him because he is committed to whatever he does.” “It’s cold!!! Her voice,” said another. “I don’t see this and am smiling and blushing like an idiot,” commented the third. “Mega Movie Legend,” added the fourth.
Meanwhile, on the work front, SRK was last seen doing three cameos in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect and Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra. He will be seen in Siddharth Anand’s next film Pathan, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Apart from this, Shahrukh Khan will also be seen in Atlee Ki Jawan.
