After a video purportedly showed a vehicle in which Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon was allegedly traveling, officials of the Satpura Tiger Reserve have launched an investigation, an official said today.

In this video that surfaced on social media platforms, the safari vehicle is shown approaching a tiger. In the clip, camera shutters are heard screeching as a tiger roars at them in the reserve located in Madhya Pradesh’s Narmadapuram district.
Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Forest Dheeraj Singh Chauhan said on Tuesday that following instructions from senior officials, he has started an inquiry into the alleged incident.
He said that on November 22, during Tandon’s visit to the reserve, his vehicle allegedly ran afoul of a tiger.
The official said that the driver of the vehicle and the officials on duty there will be given notice and questioned.
The investigation report will be handed over to senior officials for further action.
Ms. Tandon had shared pictures of her visit to the Satpura Tiger Reserve on her social media handles.
She had also shared pictures of tigers which she had clicked during her visit to the reserve.
Earlier this month, officials of Van Vihar National Park, located in state capital Bhopal, launched a probe after Tandon shared a video claiming some miscreants were throwing stones at a tiger enclosure in the park.
“Van Vihar, Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh. Tourists (miscreants) pelt stones at tigers. Gets a good laugh when told not to do so. Screaming, laughing, moving cage – throwing stones. No protection for tiger. Disgrace “They are under,” Tandon had tweeted.
In response, park officials said they were investigating the incident. He had said that such an act is punishable under the Wildlife Protection Act.
