Rahul Gandhi’s Heartwarming Moment: It has been widely shared on social media that an elderly woman embraced and blessed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. In order to reach Kashmir from Kanyakumari, Mr Gandhi is marching with his party workers through many states and Union Territories.
During the video clip, which was posted by Congress on Twitter, Gandhi is surrounded by a crowd and interacts with an old woman. As the woman pats on his shoulder, she blesses the Congress leader. Following their hug, Mr Gandhi again sets off for the march, waving at his followers.”Mamta ki chaon,” the caption reads.
Rahul Gandhi and his fellow yatris have been interacting with people and sharing special moments during the Congress foot march, which launched on September 7.
In Mandya, Karnataka, Rahul Gandhi was joined by his mother Sonia Gandhi, the interim president of the Congress Party. The party also shared a photo on Twitter showing Mr Gandhi tying his mother’s shoelaces during the walk, which was Sonia Gandhi’s first public outing since contracting COVID-19 earlier this year.
An earlier video had gone viral showing a girl who couldn’t control her tears after meeting Mr Gandhi. The girl can be seen jumping with joy, laughing, and crying at the same time as she meets him.
During the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi will visit 12 states and two union territories.
