Crane On Flooded Bengaluru Road: Pictures and videos of people using tractors and cranes to make their way through the waterlogged streets of the mega IT hub are playing out on TV and mobile screens
Industrialist Anand Mahindra, known for his insightful tweets, today shared a video showing people using a crane to traverse a flooded stretch in Bengaluru with the motivational message: “Where there is a will, there is a way”.
Pictures and videos of people using tractors and cranes to make their way through the submerged streets of the mega IT hub have been floating on TV and mobile screens for the past two days after several areas were flooded due to heavy rains.
A video shared by Mr Mahindra shows a crane being carried by eight people crossing a flooded stretch. While two of them are near the driver, the others stand on the blade – the part that is used to move the earth and pull down structures.
The passengers are well dressed and some of them are carrying bags, indicating that they are going to work in one of the offices of the mega IT hub. One of them is also seen filming the flood as the bulldozer slowly passes through the water.
Sharing the video, a Twitter user wrote that Bengaluru is called ‘Innovation Hub for a Reason’.
Retweeting the video, Mahindra said, “I second that idea. Where there is a will, there is a way…”

In the comments section, many praised the jugaad while others slammed the state government and civic authorities for not checking the unplanned urbanization that has clogged the city’s drainage.
