Vande Bharat Speed Test: Trial run of the new Vande Bharat Express was conducted today, with the train running at a speed of more than 180 km/h. Southern Railway shared a video of the trial run and appreciated the stability inside the new coaches even at such high speed.
The visuals inside the train showed that a glass filled with water is not moving even at the speed of 180 km/h of the train.
Sharing the video, Southern Railway said, “Watch the new Vande Bharat rake on a trial run at a speed of 180-183 kmph. The glass filled with water remains stationary even as the train moves at a speed of 180 kmph. “
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav inspected the new Vande Bharat train at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai last month. Vande Bharat Speed Test.
He said, “I am happy that Vande Bharat train has been manufactured by ICF in less time and in good quality. It is a world class train. It will be a new experience for the passengers traveling in this train.”
Vande Bharat, completely manufactured in India, is a self-propelled engine train. That is, it does not have a separate engine. The train has automatic doors and air-conditioned chair car coaches and a revolving chair that can rotate up to 180 degrees.
Mr Vaishnav had earlier said that 75 Vande Bharat trains would be built and deployed across the country before August 15, 2023, as per the target set for the Ministry of Railways by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year.
