The remarks were made by Vikas Kumar to a Youtuber in New Delhi. During the interview, he incorrectly identified himself as Rashid Khan and defended Aftab’s actions.
After a video of the interview was widely shared on social media, Bulandshahr Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar said a police team was tasked to trace the accused man.
According to the SSP, a person claiming to be Rashid Khan made an objectionable comment. He has been taken into custody.
A couple of robbery cases have been filed against Vikas Kumar.
Aftab Poonawala, Walkar’s live-in partner, was arrested on November 12 after he confessed to killing her and chopping up her body. Police said he threw the body parts at different places in Delhi over several days.
