The specifications for Apple’s iPhone models typically only include camera resolution, aperture, and other generic information. Sony has been rumored to provide camera sensors for the iPhone over the years. Sony is expected to provide even the iPhone 15 with a state-of-the-art image sensor.
According to Cook’s tweet on Tuesday, Sony has been providing iPhone camera sensors for over a decade. Also included was a picture of Cook and Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida touring the Kumamoto facility. According to reports, Sony plans to spend approximately JPY 900 billion (roughly Rs. 54,000 crore) by 2025 to gain control of about 60 percent of the market.
