Uttarakhand: The boy, who stayed in the hotel on the complaint of the woman, was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. After facing charge, he was sent to the juvenile improvement center which is in Dehradun.
A 15-year-old minor boy has been taken into custody for allegedly sexually assaulting a female housekeeping staff of a five-star hotel in Dehradun. The police gave this information on Sunday to media.
Uttarakhand: The boy, who stayed in the hotel on the complaint of the woman, was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. After this he was sent to the juvenile improvement center in Dehradun.
“This incident happened on Friday morning when woman was charging her phone in the washroom… when boy seen no one is in washroom, boy entered the washroom then woman asked him to go to the reception if he needed anything. The boy instead closed the bathroom door forcely and sexually assaulted the woman. As the door was closed, no one could hear the screams for the woman’s help. Since the accused is a minor hence he has been taken into custody,” said Pawan Singh, Station House Officer of Rajpur police station.
The woman alleged that after the incident when she informed the boy’s family, they offered to bury the matter and pay him money for not informing the police. According to the police, the accused belongs to a prosperous business family of Chhattisgarh.
An FIR has been registered under section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code on the complaint of the woman.
