BJP leader Seema Patra: Suspended Jharkhand BJP leader Seema Patra, arrested for torturing her domestic help, allegedly sent her son to the hospital to expose the abuse with a video, prompting rescue to help.

Seema Patra was arrested this morning, a day after a video of unspeakable harassment by her employee went viral.
Her son Ayushmann shared the video with his friend, a government employee, purportedly upset by the torture. The friend, Vivek Anand Baske, went to the police with the video.
Seema Patra reportedly admitted her son to Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry and Allied Sciences when she came to know that he was trying to help Sunita.

He told INDINEWS that he had sent her to the hospital as she was unwell.
Asked if she had admitted Ayushmann to the hospital to expose his horrific abuse of help, Ms Patra said: “I will answer all questions. You will have to wait.”
He insisted that he was innocent. “I have been framed. It is political,” she said.
When asked about the injuries to the woman, she said, “I am innocent.”
After evicting the 29-year-old woman from Patra’s house, the police took her to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) for treatment, officials said.
The BJP on Tuesday suspended Seema Patra after a video of her domestic help being harassed went viral. Her husband Maheshwar Patra is a retired IAS officer.

In the video, Sunita is seen on a hospital bed with wounds on her body and face. She could hardly speak; Many of her teeth were missing and she could not get up.
He alleged that he was taken prisoner, tortured and beaten with a rod and an iron skillet. She was allegedly forced to lick urine from the floor and was not given food or water for several days. Sunita said, “He also broke my teeth with an iron rod.”
On Ms Patra’s son Ayushmann, whose gesture saved her, she said: “It is only because of him that I am alive.”
