Salman Khan’s Bulletproof Car: Salman Khan has reportedly upgraded his Toyota Land Cruiser SUV with armor and bulletproof glass. The cost of this car is ₹1.5 crore. It is learned that Mr Khan took this step after receiving death threats from jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Late on Monday night, the actor was photographed arriving at the Mumbai airport in a white Toyota Land Cruiser. He was surrounded by his security team, including his bodyguard Shera, who was right next to the actor.
Mr Khan was in a peach colored shirt and blue pants. Photographers and fans can be heard calling out to him at the airport. He didn’t stop for photos, but nodded and acknowledged the crowd.
Just days after Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead on May 29, Mr Khan and his father Salim Khan received death threats. The actor was one of the defendants in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case and the threat was allegedly linked to it.
Recently, Mumbai Police granted arms license to Mr. Khan. After receiving the threat, the actor had applied for it on the grounds of self-defense. He also met Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar last month.
Even before this, Khan had received threats. Bishnoi had allegedly threatened the actor during the hearing of the blackbuck poaching case in 2018 as blackbuck is respected in his community.

Salman Khan is often seen roaming around in this Toyota Land Cruiser car. For those wondering, the Salman Khan-owned Toyota Land Cruiser SUV is not the latest generation model and Toyota does not sell factory-fitted armored cars.
