SA20 2023 Schedule: The newly introduced and highly anticipated SA20 will kick off on January 10 (Tuesday), at Newlands Cricket Ground, and the inaugural season opener will be played between MI Cape Town and Paarl Royals, which are owned by Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals of the Indian Premier League.
The schedule and fixtures for the premier T20 League of South Africa were announced on Tuesday, two months before the tournament kicks off. The event will feature 33 matches at six venues in the country. All matches will be streamed on Viacom18 Sports in India.
MI Cape Town will try to intrigue Newlands fans with an impressive lineup that includes Kagiso Rabada of the Proteas, Rashid Khan of Afghanistan, Liam Livingstone of England, and Dewald Brevis of South Africa.
The Royals’ equally impressive lineup includes Jos Buttler, captain of England’s T20I and ODI side, and Jason Roy and Eoin Morgan, who helped their side win the 2019 World Cup. The Royals’ squad includes David Miller, Lungi Ngidi, and Tabraiz Shamsi, who will all be mentored by JP Duminy.

The release of the fixtures for the SA20 season is an important milestone for us all. We can’t wait to see the world’s best face off against one another. The blockbuster schedule kicks off with the popular local derby between MI Cape Town and Paarl Royals on 10 January,” said League Commissioner Graeme Smith.
As a result of the afternoon and evening matches, fans will be able to see the top local and international T20 stars live in action. Moreover, this is an ideal broadcasting time to ensure viewers throughout the world are also entertained by the thrilling action.
There won’t be a break in the schedule until January 24, so it will be a treat for all cricket fans around the world. The summit clash will take place on February 11, Saturday, when the world will get the first-ever SA20 champion. Both teams will play five home matches and five away matches, so it will be a brand new experience for South African fans.
