On Monday, a daylong Nari Shakti Pad Yatra began at the Tejaji Maharaj Mandi at Babai in Bundi district around 6 a.m.

As they marched from Babai to Pipalwada in Swaimadhopur district, where they will halt for a break, a large number of female participants, including party workers and women from surrounding areas, joined Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi and other yatris.

According to Rahul Rao, a padyati who has been walking with the yatra since September 7, the 96th day of the BJY began at Tejaji Maharaj Temple in Babai village at around 6 am with a daylong Nari Shakti Pad Yatra after prayers, singing the national anthem, national song, and flag hoisting.

The yatris were greeted by a large group of women who joined them on the march.

Rajasthan is celebrating its seventh day of the yatra on Monday. In Bundi district, this is the last day of the festival.

Around 7.15 am, the yatra entered Tonk district from the Tejaji temple and will march around 5 kilometers in Tonk before entering Swaimadhopur through Pipalwada.

Women joined Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi on the way as the yatra resumed this morning, said Ajay Sharma, Congress’ Indergarh (Bundi) block president, who is also marching.

In addition, Rahul Gandhi spoke to the padyatris.

It is called Nari Shakti Pad Yatra for Monday because it is dedicated to women empowerment, according to BJY state coordinator Kapil Yadav.

Rajasath is the only Congress-ruled state where the yatra has entered and will cover about 500 km over 17 days before entering Haryana on December 21. Having begun on September 7, the yatra has crossed the southern states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana, followed by Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

A total of 3,570 km will be covered in 150 days, culminating in Jammu and Kashmir in early February 2023.
