Narendra Modi visited his mother Heeraben Modi today, who is in a hospital in Ahmedabad since last night.
UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre said Heeraben Modi’s condition is stable. The hospital has not shared any other information.
Gujarat BJP MLAs Darshanaben Vaghela and Kaushik Jain are in the hospital.
During his campaigning in Gujarat for the recent Assembly elections, the Prime Minister visited his mother, whom he has often spoken of. On social media, there were pictures of the PM chatting with Heeraben Modi.
She also got a visit from the PM on her 99th birthday. She also wrote a blog titled ‘Mother’ to mark her 100th birthday.
Earlier this week, Prime Minister’s brother Prahlad Modi and other family members were injured in a car accident in Mysuru.
Rahul Gandhi sent his best wishes to PM Modi’s mom. Mr Gandhi tweeted, in Hindi, for his prime political rival: “Love between a mother and son is eternal and priceless. Modi ji, I hope your mom gets better soon.”
