PM Modi Roadshow Live: The roadshow will cover 14 seats in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar-South. On the eastern side of Ahmedabad, Modi’s mega roadshow will begin in Naroda Gam.
Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay’s statue in Maninagar is garlanded by PM Modi.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the BJP’s ‘Pushpanjali Yatra’ that will span more than 50 km in Ahmedabad city, the site of the second phase of the Gujarat Assembly elections.
The roadshow will cover 14 seats in Ahmedabad city and Gandhinagar-South. During evening hours, Modi’s mega roadshow will start from Naroda Gam area on the eastern side of Ahmedabad and end at the IOC circle in Chandkheda area on the western side.
In addition to Hirawadi, Hatkeshwar, Maninagar, Danilimda, Jivraj Park, Ghatlodia, Naranpura, and Sabarmati, the roadshow will pass through various parts of the city.
The roadshow will pass through 14 constituencies, 11 of which were won by the BJP in 2017. Congress won the remaining three seats.
PM Modi will also pay floral tribute to the statues of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, and Subhash Chandra Bose during the yatra.
PM Modi has campaigned in his home state for nine days and held rallies in 23 of the 33 districts so far. So far, he has held 28 rallies and done two roadshows.
Speaking earlier in the day at a rally in Kalol, Panchmahal district in Gujarat, PM Modi referred to party president Mallikarjun Kharge’s ‘Ravan’ jibe against him as a competition among Congress leaders.
Kharge was apparently referring to Madhusudan Mistry’s statement that the party would show Modi his ‘aukat’ (place).
According to Congress leaders, a competition is being waged to see who will use the most abusive words against Modi. “Those who did not believe in Ramayana have now brought in (demon king) Ravan.” It’s surprising that they never apologized or expressed repentance after using such cuss words against me,” said the PM.
PM Kharge responded to Kharge’s comment by saying, “I respect Kharge ji. He will say what he has been told to say. Congress party doesn’t realize that this is Ram Bhakts’ Gujarat. Here, they were asked to say, “Modi ji 100 maatha wala raavan.”
PM Modi earlier jokingly attacked former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at a rally in Rajkot, saying despite a renowned economist being PM in the Congress-led government for ten years until 2014, the country’s economy only rose by one rank to reach the tenth spot.
After assuming the office of prime minister in 2014, Modi said the Indian economy grew to become the fifth largest in the world in eight years.
On Thursday, voters will cast their ballots in 89 seats of Saurashtra and south Gujarat. On December 5, voting will take place in the remaining 93 seats, including 16 in Ahmedabad city.
