Patna Pirates, based in Patna, Bihar, are the most successful team with three titles. Currently, the team is coached by Ram Mehar Singh and led by Pardeep Narwal. Patliputra Sports Complex is the team’s home ground.
In 2014, the Pirates were one of the eight founding members of the Pro Kabaddi League. Over the past seven seasons, they have consistently performed well in the league.
With Rakesh Kumar being the most expensive player of the first PKL auction, the team made history at the very first auction. After winning their second PKL title in July 2016, the Pirates became the first team to defend the title and completed the hat-trick a year later.
