An 18-year-old woman was taken away by four men in a car in a village in Telangana’s Rajanna Sircilla district around 5:30 this morning while she was walking to a temple with her dad.

Police sources say one of the men, 24, took the woman away some months ago when she was a minor. He was charged with child sexual assault after rescuing her. Based on her father’s complaint, he kidnapped her now that her marriage had been fixed.

Three men get out of a car, push the father away, and grab the woman, shoving her into the backseat in Rajanna Sircilla.

Six teams have been formed to find her. According to Inspector Kiran Kumar, one of the kidnappers is from the woman’s village and someone she’s known in the past.

It’s similar to another kidnapping in Telangana.

An engaged 24-year-old dentist was kidnapped ten days ago from her home in Ranga Reddy district by a former boyfriend who barged in with 30-40 others after learning she was getting engaged. After that, she returned home.

Today’s incident happened in the assembly segment of KT Rama Rao, whose dad is the chief minister.
