On Birthday, Tejashwi Yadav Requests BJP Leaders For A “Special” Gift

Tejashwi Yadav Birthday: As a “birthday gift” from his rivals in the BJP, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav today asked for special category status for the state.

At a government function, attended by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar among others, the RJD leader expressed his wish.

“Today is my birthday,” said Mr Yadav, evoking applause, adding, “some journalists have noticed that many in the BJP are greeting me, asking whether I would like a gift.”

Bihar’s special status will benefit the state’s large young population, said the young leader.

He was speaking at a function where letters of appointment were distributed to recruits in science and technology and panchayati raj departments.

A young deputy of the Chief Minister rushed to touch the Chief Minister’s feet upon his arrival at the venue.

Nitish Kumar stated that the day’s function should cover both departments (science and technology and panchayati raj) since it is Tejashwi’s birthday.

Earlier, the RJD leader expressed delight that the function was taking place on a day when the Mahagathbandhan had completed three months in office.

“The Chief Minister has very kindly agreed to give priority to job creation and had announced in his Independence Day speech that 20 lakh people would be hired. A promise of “10 lakh government jobs” ahead of the 2020 assembly poll has found resonance with young people across all social groups in the state, cutting across class and religion. “In the days to come, the number of appointees will swell into lakhs,” said the RJD leader.
