An assistant sub-inspector shot at Odisha Health Minister Naba Kisore Das on Sunday near Gandhi Chowk near Brajarajnagar in Jharsuguda district. Odisha Minister was on his way to a program when he got shot at, and he got bullet wounds. A police officer shot two rounds, critically injuring the minister. Witnesses said he was later airlifted to Bhubaneswar.

According to Brajrajnagar Sub-Divisional Police Officer Gupteswar Bhoi, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (ASI) Gopal Das opened fire at the minister.
Just as he stepped out of his car, witnesses say he was shot at. It’s still unclear why the attack happened.
There’s a video from the spot showing a bloody Mr Das being carried away.
Naba Das was the chief guest at a public grievance office opening. He was welcomed by a crowd when he arrived. A gunshot rang out. Witnesses saw a police officer run away after shooting close range.
