Navjot Kaur, wife of politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, has stage 2 invasive cancer. On Twitter, she wrote, “Navjot Singh Sidhu is in prison for a crime he doesn’t have committed. I apologize to everyone involved. I’m waiting for you outside every day probably suffering more than you. As usual, trying to take your pain away, asking for sharing it. Saw a tiny growth, knew it was bad.”

In a follow-up tweet, she added, “Waited for You, seeing you were denied justice again and again. Truth is so powerful, but it takes time and time. I can’t wait for you because it’s stage 2 invasive cancer. I’m having surgery today. Nobody’s to blame, because that’s GODS’ plan: PERFECT.”

In response to the tweet, Congress Punjab president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring wrote, “I’m sorry you have to undergo surgery. I’m praying for a speedy recovery. Waheguru Mehar Karan.”
In a 34-year-old case, Sidhu was convicted by the Supreme Court in May 2022.
In May 2022, the court sentenced Sidhu, saying any undue sympathy in imposing an inadequate sentence would undermine public confidence in the legal system.
Gurnam Singh, 65, died in the accident.
