An Abu Dhabi royal family employee stayed at a Delhi luxury hotel for four months and racked up a bill of 23 lakh before disappearing.

Mohammed Sharif, who was accused of fraud and theft on Saturday by the Leela Palace Hotel management, is being sought by the Delhi Police.
She checked into Room 427 of the Leela Palace on August 1 and left quietly on November 20. Hotel staff says he stole silver utensils and a pearl tray from the room.
Sharif told the hotel staff he was from the UAE and worked closely with Sheikh Falah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi.
He said he worked with the Sheikh personally and was in India for official business. He even showed me his business card, UAE resident card, and other documents. His life in the UAE was routinely discussed with hotel staff to sell his story.
Police are inspecting these documents, thinking they’re fake.
During his four-month stay, he spent 35 lakh on room and services. After paying $11.5 lakh, he left without paying the rest. On November 20, when he fled the hotel, he gave the staff a check for Rs 20 lakh.
The Delhi police are scanning CCTV cameras to identify him.
