Jai Mahakaal.. ! On Tuesday, PM Narendra Modi launched the new Jyotirling Mahakaleshwar ‘Makkal Lok‘ complex in Ujjain, and this chant was heard throughout the city. Upon removing the cover via remote, Modi unveiled a 15 foot high replica of a Shivling made from Raksha Sutra (Kalaw) amidst Vedic chants in this new courtyard of spirituality.
Modi prostrated before Mahakal earlier in the day. A sacred thread was offered to Mahakal along with garlands of sandalwood, mogre, and roses. Fruits and dry fruits were offered.
