Kannada actor Lohithaswa passed away today. A month after being hospitalized, the actor failed to respond to medical treatment. In Bengaluru, he passed away at a private hospital.
A number of Sandalwood actors, directors, and producers have expressed their grief over his death. T N Seetharam paid tribute to the actor on his Facebook page. Over the course of his career, Lohithaswa has appeared in more than 500 films. Also, he has appeared in several plays and serials. In addition to being a playwright, Lohithaswa is also a retired English professor.
His mortal remains will be kept at his residence for public viewing. Tomorrow, the ace actor will be laid to rest in Tumkur, his native village.
While undergoing treatment for a prolonged age-related illness, Lohithaswa suffered a heart attack. Along with veteran actors like Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan, Shankar Nag and Ambareesh, he has acted in varied roles in his long career.
There are several films he has acted in including Sarathi, Huliya, Jayasimha, Ekalavya, Avatara Purusha, Chakrvarthy, S P Sangliyana part 2, Kadina Raja, Kaveri Nagara, Lockup Death, Marjala, Samayada Gombe, Snehaloka, Geetha, Gajendra and others.
Around 80 is the age of the actor who had a distinct voice. His son Sharath Lohithaswa is also a prominent Sandalwood actor.
