The Lanka Premier League 2022, Sri Lanka’s top-tier league, will kick off on Tuesday, December 6. In the season opener of the all-exciting tournament, defending champions Jaffna Kings and runners-up Galle Gladiators will face off.

There will be five teams competing for the coveted title in the LPL 2022. Top-tier teams include Jaffna Kings, Galle Gladiators, Colombo Stars, Kandy Falcons, and Dambulla Giants.
Through the course of the event, 24 matches will be played, with 20 matches in the league phase. The top four teams in the points table will then advance to the elimination rounds, which consist of four matches including the summit clash. Qualifier 2 winners will face Qualifier 1 winners in the Final on December 23.
