Before the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) picked Chandrakant Pandit to be their head coach. Brendon McCullum left the job after the IPL 2022 to become the head coach of England’s Test team.
Chandrakant Pandit is thrilled about his new job
Pandit is well-known in his own nation due to the many championships that he has won while serving as head coach. Most recently, he was responsible for leading a young team from Madhya Pradesh to victory in the Ranji Trophy competition by defeating a formidable team from Mumbai in the championship match held in Bengaluru.
Chandrakant Pandit is thrilled about his new job and ready to take on the new challenge. Pandit was quoted by KKR in a press release as saying. “It’s a great honor and privilege to be given this responsibility. I’ve heard from players and other people who have worked with the Knight Riders about the team’s family-like atmosphere and long history of success. I’m excited about how good the support staff and players are.And I’m looking forward to this chance with humility and high hopes”.
