A customer at a KFC outlet in the United States shot a worker who got upset because the fast food restaurant ran out of corn. According to local outlet KSDK, the incident occurred in St Louis, Missouri.

An attacker in his 40s or 50s shot a 25-year-old employee, identified by his brother as Deon Thomas, according to the outlet. At a local hospital, the employee is recovering from surgery.
The employees at the drive-thru told the customer on Monday evening that they were out of corn, according to the St Louis Metropolitan Police Department. After threatening them through the speaker box, he pulled up to the drive-thru window with a gun.
After Thomas went out to talk to the customer, he shot him in the side and drove off.
The outlet quoted Deon’s brother Norman Thomas as saying, “It’s ridiculous.”. According to him, “it just happened all of a sudden.”.
Deon Thomas was taken to the hospital by a KFC employee.
Norman sighed. “It’s sick. I don’t understand what’s happening with these people today. For him to want to shoot him for corn? Really?” he asked.
Den began working at KFC as a cook and was promoted to assistant manager.
Norman Thomas said he loves it. The reason he worked his way up was because he didn’t want to work anywhere else.”
The suspect is on the run, and Norman wants the police to arrest him as soon as possible.
