Jos Buttler confirmed as Captain: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said on Thursday that Jos Buttler has been appointed as the new captain of England’s limited overs teams.

Buttler has been the vice-captain since 2015 and has the experience of leading the team on the last 14 occasions (9 ODIs and 5 T20Is). The wicketkeeper-batsman has represented England 151 times in ODIs, scoring 4120 runs at an average of 41.20, including 10 centuries. He also has a stellar record in the shorter format, where he has earned 88 caps and scored 2140 runs at a strike-rate of 141.20.
