Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha sacked the services of four government employees, including the son of Syed Salahuddin, Bitta Karate, who has terror links, in a massive crackdown on the terror ecosystem.
Asbah Arjumand Khan, wife of top J&K Liberation Front terrorist Farooq Ahmed Dar alias Bitta Karate, is a 2011 batch Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officer. Muhit Ahmed Bhat, Scientist-D working with Kashmir University; Majid Hussain Qadri, senior assistant professor, Kashmir University, and Syed Abdul Mueed, manager IT, Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), were all removed by invoking Article 311 of the Constitution of India.
According to the government, Asbah Arzoomand Khan was sacked after investigations conducted by the Union Territory administration revealed that she was a separatist with deep links with terrorist organizations and Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.

According to the list of J&K administration, Muheet Ahmed Bhat – a scientist D in the computer science department of Kashmir University – has also been sacked for terror links.

In March 2007, he was appointed as a contractual lecturer at the University of Kashmir. A senior ranking official of the JK administration said, “His recruitment case was never referred to the CID for character verification. Syed Abdul Mueed, the son of the self-styled Supreme Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen, has also been sacked. He was working as Manager IT in JKEDI.
In 2012, Syed Abdul Mueed was appointed as an IT consultant on contract basis. Sources said rules were violated to appoint him. At least three members of the selection panel included terrorist sympathizers. His contractual status was later changed to permanent.
