EaS E Car: PMV Electric launched India’s first micro EV today to promote sustainable and eco-friendly mobility. It hopes to launch a new vehicle form, the personal mobility vehicle. PMV Electric’s Eas-E 2-seater EV is the company’s solution. Here’s everything you need to know about this unique electric vehicle.

Eas-E EV is a micro-car that seats two people, has an overall size of 36 square feet, and PMV claims that such solutions can help curb traffic in densely populated urban areas.

Aside from its smart format, the Eas-E has a number of smart features such as remote park assist, remote horn, follow-me-home lights, and regenerative braking. As well as OTA updates, the EV has comfort features such as cruise control and electric ORVMs. Also, PMV’s Eas-E Connect app allows remote parking of EVs in tight spaces, as well as a Feet Free mode for driving EVs in stop-and-go traffic with thumb controls on the steering wheel.

With a PMSM motor producing 10 kW of power and 50 Nm of torque, the Eas-E microcar can reach speeds up to 70 kmph. Three battery pack options will be available for the Eas-E – 120 km, 160 km, and 200 km. All three variants of the electric vehicle will have a standard charging time of 3 to 4 hours. It is claimed that this EV will have a running cost of less than 75 rupees per kilometer. Further, the battery packs are IP67-rated against water intrusion and contain 48V Li Iron Phosphate cells. For better structural rigidity, the battery pack also acts as an integrated structure.

A digital instrument cluster and a small infotainment screen are also available in the Eas-E. A monocoque chassis similar to that used in bigger cars has been built by PMV Electric for the micro EV, unlike the tubular chassis used in international markets for micro-cars. At the front of the EV is also an airbag for the driver.

PMV Electric announced an introductory price of Rs 4.79 lakh for its first 10,000 customers at its launch event. Battery packs with a higher range have been priced at Rs 6.79 lakh and Rs 7.79 lakh, respectively. Pre-orders for the Eas-E have also reached 6,000 worldwide, according to the company. Their official website is open for bookings.
