Imran Khan Visits Sadaf Naeem Home: Imran Khan expressed his condolences to the family of a journalist crushed to death during his rally on Monday.
Channel 5 reporter covering the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s long march was killed in an accident near Sadhoke on Sunday.
According to Channel 5, Khan’s container ran over the reporter. Naeem fell from the container and was crushed by the vehicle, according to Dawn.
According to Dawn.com, a reporter slipped while climbing the container.
Sunday’s activities were called off by the PTI in solidarity with the victims.
Today’s march has been postponed due to an accident. Imran Khan prayed for the family’s patience and strength as he addressed supporters.
When he learned of the terrible incident, he said he had no words to express his sorrow.
Likewise, Shehbaz Sharif expressed regret over the incident, saying he was “deeply saddened.”
Shehbaz awarded Naeem’s family $5 million in financial aid, extending his condolences.
Imran Khan is leading a long march towards Islamabad to force his demands. A new election should be held within 60 days of the end of the National Assembly’s term in August 2023.
Khan, who lost a no-confidence vote in April, has spoken of a ‘threat letter’ from the US, and claims it is part of a foreign conspiracy to remove him. There has been a clear rejection of allegations against the US.
