India’s G20 presidency: On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the logo, theme, and website for India’s G20 presidency.
I congratulate my countrymen on the historic occasion of India’s G20 presidency. Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam is an expression of India’s compassion for the world. Lotus represents India’s cultural heritage and faith in bringing the world together,” he said when launching www.g20.in.
“The world is still suffering the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The symbol of the G20 logo represents hope. Despite adverse circumstances, the Lotus still blooms,” he said.
According to PM Modi, the G20 logo is more than a logo; it is a message and a feeling that runs through our veins. It is also a resolution that has been incorporated into our thinking.
Lotus flower symbolizes the mythological heritage of India, our faith, and our intelligence. In this logo, Lotus flower represents seven continents of the world and seven notes of music. G20 will bring the world together in harmony.”
After independence, PM Modi said, India began its journey to the heights of development with the efforts of all governments over the last 75 years. Every government and citizen contributed to the advancement of the country.
In the shackles of colonialism, we have While India has faced many challenges, it has turned every corner. Modi said that the world is impressed by the new India’s skills. “We are expected to lead the world,” he said. “New India represents 130 crore capabilities in one place,” he added.
Asserting the importance of sustainable development, the Prime Minister said everyone must take responsibility for their environment as part of their daily lives.
The concept of first world and third world must be replaced with one world by uniting. In terms of conserving renewable energy, India has led the world with initiatives like One Sun, One World, and One Grid. G20’s mantra of One Earth, One Family, One Future will pave the way for global prosperity. As a result of initiatives like One Earth, One Health, New India has become a global leader in sustainable development.”
Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi urged state governments to submit ideas on how India can further contribute to global development.
India’s G20 presidency provides a unique opportunity for India to contribute to the global agenda on pressing international issues, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
The statement stated that the country’s logo, theme, and website would reflect the country’s “message and overarching priorities” to the world. On December 1, India will take over the presidency of the powerful grouping from Indonesia.
G20 represents around 85% of the global GDP, over 75% of global trade, and about two-thirds of the world population, making it the premier forum for international economic cooperation. As part of its G20 presidency, India will hold 200 meetings across the country in 32 different sectors. India will host the G20 Summit next year, which will be one of the most significant international gatherings ever.
