Sarfaraz Ahmed played a gem of a knock to help Pakistan avoid defeat and come within striking distance of winning the second Test against New Zealand. As the series ended in a 0-0 draw, Sarfaraz scored 118 runs, his fourth Test century, to lead Pakistan out of trouble.

Shahid Afridi congratulated Sarfaraz after the match, but he made it clear that Mohammad Rizwan was the team’s number one choice for white-ball cricket.
In the press conference, Shahid Afridi said, “I’m glad Saifi made a comeback and gave such an amazing performance, but Mohammad Rizwan is our main wicket-keeper in both T20Is and ODIs.”
If Rizwan gets hurt or tired, we’ll consider other options. It’s not fair to compare Test performance with limited overs.”
Sarfaraz played his 50th Test in the 1st match against New Zealand. Rizwan congratulated him on Twitter after his efforts.
