Hartalika Teej Vrat is being celebrated in the country today i.e. on 30th August, while on the other hand a woman who was preparing for this festival was beaten to death by her husband. After beating her to death on Monday night, the husband hanged her dead body.
The incident is of Manjha Chatubhuj village of Shripur OP of Phulwaria police station area. The woman Sanju Devi was the 25-year-old wife of Chotan Ram.
After the incident, the villagers caught the husband and handed him over to the police. The husband has admitted to assaulting his wife under the influence of alcohol. The accused told the police that when he came home under the influence of alcohol, the wife was sleeping. After this, he left the house after beating him.
