Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav was shifted to the ICU of Medanta Hospital in Gurugram on Sunday after his health deteriorated. Since August 22, the 82-year-old leader has been in the hospital receiving treatment.
His treatment is being overseen by oncologists Dr Nitin Sood and Dr Sushil Kataria, according to news agency PTI. In July, the SP leader was also hospitalized.
Akhilesh Yadav, his son and SP chief, has already arrived at the hospital. Mulayam’s daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav and his brother Shivpal Yadav have also reached the hospital.
Mulayam was admitted to the hospital last July after complaining of uneasiness.

Mulayam’s deteriorating health has also been expressed by BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
