Ek Villain Returns

The trailer of Ek Villain Returns released on Thursday and it is full of action. The film stars an impressive cast including John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria. The trailer begins with the return of Rakesh Mahadkar (the villain played by Riteish Deshmukh in the first installment). The trailer begins with a disclaimer that one such villain is the talk of the town. Their crime patterns include killing women who have “connections” with unloved lovers.

The trailer showcases the respective love stories of Arjun Kapoor-Tara Sutaria and Disha Patani-John Abraham. It is difficult to understand who is the real villain of the story as both John and Arjun are the protagonists of their respective stories. Another twist at the end of the trailer suggests that Tara Sutaria and Disha Patani could be real villains too. Ahead of the trailer release, the makers shared the posters of the film. In one of the posters, John Abraham and Disha Patani are seen posing together. “Heroes and heroines have a lot of stories, now it’s time for the villain’s story Jaan ne ki,” read the caption on the post.

Meanwhile, Tara Sutaria shared a poster featuring Arjun Kapoor, writing: “It’s not about the hero or heroine anymore, it’s all about the villain…”

The first installment of the film featured Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles. Produced by Balaji Telefilms and T-Series, the film is directed by Mohit Suri. The film is scheduled to release on July 29.
