Yasir Shah warns Pakistan: When facing Pakistan in Twenty20 Internationals, Virat Kohli has excelled.

Shah has told the team led by Babar Azam not to underestimate Kohli

Yasir Shah, a leg-spinner, told Pakistan to watch out for Virat Kohli when they play India in the first game of the Asia Cup 2022 on Sunday, August 28 at the Dubai International Stadium. Since November 2019, Kohli’s batting has been going downhill, and he hasn’t done very well on the 22 yards so far this season.

Yasir Shah warns Pakistan: Don’t take Virat Kohli easy

Still, Shah has told the team led by Babar Azam not to underestimate Kohli. He said that the superstar batsman can get back on track at any time, and he thinks that the Asia Cup could be a great chance for him to get his old mojo back.

According to Yasir Shah:

“Don’t take Virat Kohli easy. Yes, he’s not in form because he’s having trouble scoring runs, but he’s a world-class player who can get back into form at any time, Yasir told pktv.tv.

In the two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) he played in England, Virat did not stand out. He scored 1 and 11, respectively. After the England ODIs, he took a break before going on a tour of the West Indies and Zimbabwe for a limited-overs series.

Kohli had half-centuries in the last two T20 World Cup games against Pakistan

Pakistan, on the other hand, has a lot to worry about because Kohli liked hitting against them in the continental tournament. In 2012, he got a score of 183, which is still his best score in a One Day International. Then, four years later, when the Men in Blue had lost key players like Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane for cheap, he scored 49 runs to win the game.

Kohli had half-centuries in the last two T20 World Cup games against the Men in Green, in 2016 and 2021. His consistent performances make him a dangerous opponent for Pakistan. On top of that, Babar and his team will be without their pace leader Shaheen Afridi, who can’t play because he hurt his knee. So, bowlers like Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah will have to bother the Indian top order, especially Kohli.
