Corruption Case Against Bihar Cop Amit Lodha Who Inspired Netflix Show ‘Khakee’

After the release of the Netflix series “Khakee: The Bihar Chapter,” Bihar IPS officer Amit Lodha won accolades for corruption and allegedly misusing his position.

While serving as an IPS officer, Amit Lodha made a deal with the production house Friday Story Teller, according to a complaint filed by the Economic Offences Wing of the Bihar Police. He allegedly signed a deal worth Rs 1 with the production house. In his wife’s account, cops claim there was a transaction for Rs 49 lakh.

According to police sources, some of the money in the wife’s account was deposited before the deal with the production house was finalized.

A web series based on Lodha’s book ‘Bihar Diaries: The True Story of How Bihar’s Most Dangerous Criminal Was Caught’ tells the story of how a notorious gangster was caught by the police in Bihar’s Sheikhpura.

Since he was posted as Inspector General of Police in Gaya, Lodha has been earning “illicitly”.

“Amit Lodha is not an established story writer nor was he authorised to write a book for commercial purposes,” states the complaint.
