Children’s Day 2022: Every year in India, November 14 is celebrated as Children’s Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the country’s first prime minister.

Children’s Day also promotes awareness of children’s rights, care, and education in addition to paying tribute to Pandit Nehru. On this day, there are many educational and motivational programs for children across India.
It was a constant source of joy for Jawaharlal Nehru to hear his children call him Chacha Nehru and to believe in him.
As recommended by the United Nations, Universal Children’s Day was initially observed on November 20, but after Jawahar Lal Nehru passed away in 1964, the Indian parliament designated the day of his birth as Children’s Day.
Schools will organize various events to celebrate Children’s Day 2022. On this day, children also receive treats, gifts, and more. In India, the day is also known as Bal Diwas.
Throughout his life, Jawaharlal Nehru worked to improve the lives of children. His strong belief was that a nation could only succeed if its youth were well-cared for.
In order to develop the potential of young minds, Pandit Nehru placed a strong emphasis on education. As a result of his deep affection for children, many renowned educational institutions were established in India.
Jawaharlal Nehru once said, “Children are like buds in a garden, and should be nurtured carefully and lovingly, as they are the future of the nation.”
