Tesla Car Crash In China: US automaker Tesla said on Sunday it would help Chinese police investigate an accident in one of its Model Y cars after local media reports said two people were killed and three were injured when The driver had lost control of the vehicle.
A motorcyclist and a high school girl were killed in a November 5 incident in the southern province of Guangdong, Jimu News reported, in which video of a speeding car colliding with other vehicles and a cyclist was posted.

Tesla said the video showed the car’s brake lights not turning on when the car was accelerating, and that its data showed issues such as no action to step on the brakes while the vehicle was traveling was happening.
Calls to police in Raoping, the county where the accident occurred, did not respond on Sunday.
Tesla has already faced claims of brake failure in China.
In its statement to Reuters, the company said a Chinese car owner was ordered by the court to publicly apologize and compensate the firm after it ruled that it had told the media about its brake issues. The remarks made were inconsistent with facts and harmed Tesla’s reputation.
Reuters could not immediately verify Tesla’s assertion.
Last year, an unhappy customer caused a stir on social media by climbing atop a Tesla at the Shanghai Auto Show to protest the company’s handling of complaints about bad brakes linked to a car accident.
