An SUV hit a 25-year-old woman named Tejashwita feeding a stray dog near her home in Chandigarh and sped away, causing a shocking hit-and-run.

Tejashwita, who suffered injuries to her head, is recovering in the hospital. She’s fine, her family says.
Tejashwita and her mom Manjider Kaur were feeding stray dogs on the footpath on Saturday night, according to the family.
Tejashwita can be seen feeding a dog in CCTV footage. There’s a Mahindra Thar SUV on the parallel road. The SUV makes a U-turn and hits the woman, leaving her writhing in pain.
Tejashwita’s mom was horrified to see her lying in a pool of blood. No one stopped to help her. She called the police control room and her home.
Tejashwita’s father, Ojaswi Kaushal, says she graduated in architecture and is preparing for civil service exams. He said she used to feed stray dogs with her mom every day.
Police have registered a case and are looking for the driver and the vehicle.
