Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s son was charged yesterday with assaulting a fellow student at a private college.

After videos of the alleged assault went viral, Mahindra University filed a complaint against Mr Kumar’s son Bandi Bhagirath Sai.
Bhagirath slaps Sriram repeatedly on the college grounds in the viral video. Bhagirath’s friend is also seen assaulting the student.
Sriram is abused and thrashed by Bhagirath and about five-six other students in the second video. Sriram gets punched in the face by Bhagirath, surrounded by other men. The student was assaulted by others later.
Bhagirath Sai says Sriram misbehaved with his classmate’s sister, sources say.
Sriram released a video last night confessing to misbehaving with the girl.
Apparently Sriram sent an objectionable text to Bhagirath’s friend’s sister, and when the minister’s son approached him to talk about it, he misbehaved too. He says Bhagirath slapped him because I misbehaved with him and the girl.
Sriram says the incident happened about two months ago and they came to a compromise. “That’s a useless video. Stop using it,” he said.
K Chandrashekar Rao allegedly conspired to settle “political scores” with the state BJP chief.
The complaint was filed by the university at the behest of the Chief Minister so he can silence me, he said.
According to NDTV, police aren’t sure when the video was released and are looking into the complaint filed by the university.
