BJP “Khamosh” By Nitish Tejashwi: The second grand alliance between Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav is a sign for the BJP to remain “silent”, actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha told media today, recalling their iconic dialogue. Mr Sinha, who is now with the Trinamool Congress, declared that the BJP has no reason to complain as Nitish Kumar has only repeated what he has done in several states, including Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Asked how people feel about recent events – given the BJP’s claim that Mr Kumar has betrayed their mandate – Mr Sinha said “overall people are very happy”.

“In fact, they have been saying what the BJP has been doing for years. ‘As you sow, so shall you reap’. They have done it through their money power in Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra… Now they get a He has tasted his medicine. Nitish Kumar paid him back in his own coin,” he told NDTV in an exclusive interview.

He said that the BJP is clearly giving the message that there will be no protest. BJP “Khamosh” By Nitish Tejashwi

“They are saying ‘only we will be’. But how can there be only you? This is democracy. There is opposition, there are regional parties,” Sinha said. That is why the opposition is coming together, he said, pointing to the new grand alliance, which has seven parties and one independent.

Before ending the alliance, Mr Kumar’s Janata Dal United had cited BJP chief JP Nadda’s remark that “only the BJP will remain, regional parties will disappear”. Sources had said that this only went to confirm Mr Kumar’s suspicion that the BJP was ready to split the JD(U) and install a powerful chief minister, as they did in Maharashtra.

Supporting Kumar’s decision to break the alliance with the BJP, he said the ruling party at the Center has not made any promises to him. They have neither given him a special package of ₹ 1,76000 crores nor given any special status to Bihar. The Center did nothing for Nitish Kumar.
