According to the doctor at Trauma Center, Sadar Hospital, the 12-year-old child Ranjan Kumar who got trapped between a pillar and a slab of a bridge on the river in Nasriganj died at the hospital.
Dr Brajesh Kumar said that the 12-year-old child who got trapped in the foot of the bridge built on a river in Nasriganj died.
Ranjan Kumar, identified as the boy, was rescued by a National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team earlier today.
“The child has been rescued and taken to a hospital in Sasaram. His condition is not normal. The NDRF was also engaged in rescue efforts,” he said.
Khiriyanw village is home to the boy. Soon after the information was received, local police and senior officials reached the scene. Rescue operations were conducted by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
According to the boy’s father Bhola Shah, the boy has been missing from home for two days because he is mentally unstable.
The father told ANI that the family searched the nearby villages for him, but failed to locate him. The father received a telephone call three or four hours ago, telling him that his son is trapped here.
According to NDRF Assistant Commandant Jaiprakash, the boy was in a very critical condition on the bridge.
Jaiprakash said, “The child is safe for now and we are feeding him here. He will be safely brought here soon by the rescue team.”
