Bhediya Trailer: Bhediya’s trailer was released on Wednesday by Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. Over the course of the two-minute trailer, Varun Dhawan can be seen sleeping on a bed in the background while a dialogue of his with Kriti Sanon runs in the background.
The trailer opens with a long shot of a town in Himachal Pradesh. Several frames and dialogues in the trailer establish the fact that Varun Dhawan has been bitten by a wolf and his life has changed since then.
Kriti Sanon replies, “Ho sakta hai woh bhediya tumhe maarna chahta ho (Maybe this wolf is actually trying to kill you),” to Varun’s question, “Tumhe kya lagta hai iss bhediye ne mujhe hi kyu kata hai?” Soon, we see the scene in which Varun is attacked by a wolf in the jungle.
Kriti replies, “Kyuki tum jise siyapa samajhte ho woh bahaut badi zimmedari hai (Because what you’re calling trouble is really a great responsibility).”
After Varun Dhawan is attacked by the wolf, Deepak Dobriyal and Abhishek Banerjee arrive to visit him in the hospital. The film opens with Abhishek Bannerjee saying, “I am not able to see this (Mujhse toh dekha nai jaa raha hai).
Kriti, who is also present, replies by saying, “Mujhse bhi nai (Neither dog I). Several such comic dialogues by Abhishek Banerjee can be heard in between, adding to the ongoing horror in the trailer, as he says, “His bum got chewed up like an apple).
Varun Dhawan discovers the powers of wolf within him as the trailer progresses, slowly changing into a werewolf at night and wandering in the jungle. As a result of his transformation, he is concerned that he will become a threat to humans.
Varun Dhawan ends the trailer by attacking his friends Abhishek Banerjee and Deepak Dobriyal, who confront him the next day, while Jungle Book’s Chaddi Pehan Ke Phool Khila Hai plays.
Produced by Stree and Roohi producer Dinesh Vijan, the film is directed by Amar Kaushik and written by Niren Bhatt.
The Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions of Bhediya will be released on November 25.
