Cummins was last seen in action in the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, which ended at level terms (1-1). In the series, the Australia captain took two wickets and scored 47 runs.

Earlier in the three ODIs against Sri Lanka, Cummins came back with eight wickets and scored 39 runs.

The pacer is currently the No. 1 ranked bowler in the Test format, 49 points ahead of second-ranked Ravichandran Ashwin.

Cummins is seventh in the Test all-rounder rankings ahead of Kyle Meyers (West Indies), Colin de Grandhomme (NZ) and Kyle Jamieson (NZ).

The captain oversaw Australia’s victory in the Ashes earlier this year, and he led Australia to a Test series win against Pakistan in Pakistan.

As far as Cummins and Becky are concerned, after their first meeting in 2013, the two got engaged in February 2020. In May 2021, Cummins announced that he was going to be a father in a few months. Later that year, in October, Becky gave birth to their baby boy and named the baby Albie Boston Cummins.

Cummins shared a video blog on his social media handle, which depicts his wife’s journey during her pregnancy.

After adopting paternity, Cummins traveled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for Australia’s campaign in the T20 World Cup. There were more reasons to rejoice as the Aussies won their maiden T20 World Cup title after beating New Zealand in the final in Dubai.

Australia batsman Travis Head was also a part of the ceremony along with his pregnant fiancé Jessica Davis. Former Australia captain Tim Paine also attended the ceremony and his wife Bonnie also attended. Other players to grace the ceremony were pacers Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood along with Coach Andrew McDonald. Their son Albie was held by one of their guests to the couple as they exchanged their vows.

Cummins had earlier mentioned how the COVID-19 pandemic had changed their wedding plans. The couple finally said ‘I do’ and started a new chapter in their life. Cummins last assignment was in Sri Lanka where they shared the Test series 1-1.
