Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal will leave for a two-day visit to Gujarat from today. This is his fifth visit to the state in less than a month.

The visit comes on a day when Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who was accused by the CBI of allegations related to liquor policy, claimed that the BJP has “closed all cases” against him after leaving the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was offered crossed.
AAP has alleged that the cases against Sisodia and other leaders have been fabricated because the BJP fears the popularity of the party and its chief Arvind Kejriwal. Manish Sisodia said in Gujarat, “I have got a message from BJP. Separate the party and divide, we will make you the chief minister. But Kejriwal is my political mentor.”

Arvind Kejriwal said, “If we form the government, we will give free education and employment. For more, I have the world’s best education minister with me.”
Party sources have said that the raids on Mr. Sisodia will figure in the campaigns to counter the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections in BJP-ruled Gujarat.
Party sources earlier told news agency PTI, “The CBI action against Mr Sisodia has turned public sentiments in our favor and we will go ahead with the issue during our campaign as he has a very clean image.”
Mr Kejriwal and Mr Sisodia arrived in Ahmedabad on Monday to address a town hall meeting in Himmatnagar. He will also attend the Town Hall meeting in Bhavnagar on Tuesday.

“On Monday Manish ji and I will go to Gujarat for two days to guarantee education and health. Like Delhi, Gujarat will also have good schools, good hospitals and mohalla clinics. Everyone will get good quality education and good health treatment. People will get relief, we will also interact with the youth,” Mr Kejriwal said in a tweet.
The CBI on Friday conducted searches at 31 places, including Mr. Sisodia’s residence and premises of some bureaucrats. Top leaders of both AAP and BJP have been addressing press conferences accusing each other of corruption.
During his last visit to North Gujarat, Mr. Kejriwal made several promises to the people of Gujarat, including free electricity supply and improving health services in the state. He has already promised free education in the state and audit of private schools if his party comes to power.
Apart from announcing 10 lakh jobs for the youth of the state and monthly allowance for women, AAP has also announced an employment guarantee scheme. Arvind Kejriwal has also reached out to the tribal community by announcing several welfare measures.
In the last assembly elections in the state, the deposits of all 29 AAP candidates were forfeited. AAP’s Gujarat hopes are boosted by its performance in the February 2021 Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) elections, in which the BJP won 93 seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party got 27 seats.
